I will persist until I succeed.
Week 1 (3-14-2024)
We’ve uncovered the need to become slave to our good habits in order to begin a new life, and greet each day (moment, and person) with love in our hearts, before coming to this third scroll and point. I will persist, until I succeed. Just saying it makes me feel empowered and confident! That is it. I will persist, I will succeed, and I will WIN! Here we are in month 3 reading each day, three times a day. Without fail I have read everyday three times per day. I am picking up other great habits, and tracking them.
It has also revealed three other things: 1.) I am exposing my current bad habits and finding a way to replace them, 2.) I am asking myself questions each week and day on how we accomplished our vivid vision for our life and goals we have for this year, and 3.) I am building, little by little, the fortitude and courage of a champion in all that I do! Throwing old fixed mindsets about people, sleep, and evening running.
Oh and we got a pet goldfish named Goldie, who I now greet every day with love in my heart. Our family and success are growing rapidly, thanks to God!
Week 2 (3-21-2024)
This has been a challenging week for me! I have continued, I kept going, and continue to absorb this content each day. In one way, I am utilizing this in a broader sense than just my work; more like my daily life, goals, and habits. It is showing me with clarity, ways I can improve and end the day with a victory. Making one more attempt, one more call, one more rep, one more page, one more song: this is the key; keep going and smile. Somehow this is generating excitement, and helps weather the downs- since yesss, there are certainly downs. That’s where this scroll makes the difference. Who are we in those valleys; will we keep going; is our purpose strong enough?
This week, I also reflected on many moments and memories through out my life where negativity from myself and others really damaged my overall self-image and success. Continues to remind me that, it takes just as much energy to be positive as it does negative. Really thinking about it, the question that comes to mind is: how strong is your purpose, your mission, that you will continue getting pricked trying to achieve it, and stay positive? That foundation, and understanding of what your ultimate fulfillment of self-realization is, is key. This scroll is helping shape us to be unbreakable. Keep moving, keep persisting, and you will win.
Week 3 (3-28-2024)
AND THERE IT IS. We faced our hardship, and as the scroll shares- even if you are in despair (aka struggling and beaten down) you keep going. Persist! I had a great talk with my manager and his superior and it was the exact thing I needed to get on track. They are the type of people or individuals that you want to to surround yourself with. Hard working, positive, and ethical- with a good sense of humor. I broke through the mindset or environment and circumstances that seemed to be bogging me down. It’s amazing how those attitudes can affect your work, your happiness, and your relationship. I found that confronting those things, while continuing my daily positive habits, led to acknowledging what I can do differently and being held accountable.
Persistence is a heck of a thing. Got to keep walking, keep chopping, keep riding, keep moving. That is so important. One small idea and action that helped me move past thoughts that were intrusive, and may have derailed my progress and motivation, is to immediately do something to break away from the problematic notion. Get up. Drink water. Look at nature for a moment. Do 5 jumping jacks. Tony Robbins has taught millions of people that you need to physically change your state and that will change your thinking, and how you feel. It really works! Start clapping, start envisioning your dream or goal. Start shouting (not in your office). Get your energy flowing and keep going. That is the KEY!
Keep Flowing; Keep Going.
Week 4 (last 9 days)
Persist, and we will succeed! I finished my final reading last night. I see how staying connected to positive ideas, and letting go of negative thoughts, people, or choices is key to success. I am starting to experience the benefit of persisting and succeeding. It seems like an inevitable outcome that we will win. Just have to keep going. Little by little we will make it happen. I really like the line- about this new day I face will be the best day of my life. My wife and I came up with the vision of waking up every day as if it were Christmas morning before I started reading these scrolls. How fortuitous. Everyone has had that day in life, when they could not WAIT to get up and dominate the day. That morning when you were confident you knew EXACTLY what you needed to do that day and were thrilled to get to it. It’s easy to become removed from that feeling, that sense of purpose, happiness, and knowing. As we get older, potentially more bogged down by the realities of adulthood, we need to be intentional about creating that energy in our life. Keep going, keep moving; you keep what you get. You get what you make. You make what you choose. You choose what you are. You are what you think! In action, word, and thought: PERSIST and you will succeed!
